Saudi Post adopts assyst ITSM and ITOM integration to extend automation drive across organization

Saudi Post, the official operator of postal services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has selected assyst from Axios Systems, integrating IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) to achieve greater operational benefits across its business functions. saudi post

Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Post serves 14,000 employees across 71 branches in Saudi Arabia, with over 200 roles in IT alone. The company has purchased assyst 11 on a support deal, incorporating ITOM/Software Asset Management (SAM) with its existing ITSM functionalities to better track and monitor its assets more effectively.

A key business objective for Saudi Post was to move away from an under-performing in-house solution to one which delivered greater flexibility in services and processes to the wider organization. The company also wanted to expand to full automation across the account and reduce maintenance than the previous tool.

Along with its substantial expertise in the EMEA region, assyst was selected ahead of the competition due to the powerful capabilities of the solution as well as extensive local government customer references such as Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU) and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

Commenting on why Saudi Post selected Axios Systems, Assistant Technical Support Director at the Company Saleh Alanzi said: “We identified the need to move towards full automation of our processes to help boost our effectiveness across the organization. assyst has shown over the years that it is the solution that allows companies to maximize their potential.

“The availability of a local, Middle East based team, flexibility and vendor engagement was something that really appealed to us and we are thrilled to enter this partnership.”

Steve Spratt, Chief Operating Officer at Axios Systems said: “We’re delighted that Saudi Post has chosen our leading solution assyst to further its drive towards increased efficiency and deliver greater value to its thousands of end-users.

“As an integrated ITSM/ITOM solution, assyst provides our customers with end-to-end lifecycle management of its IT assets and Discovery tools. We are looking forward to working closely with Saudi Post on its ITSM and ITOM journey.”

Future plans for Saudi Post include increasing its ITOM capabilities and adoption of Enterprise Service Management by expanding the use of assyst across the wider business.
