In an effort to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Axios Systems, a leading provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management solutions, is taking part in the Run for the Kids charity event.
The event, held on April 7th 2019, is in its 14th year and raises vital funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal and is one of the largest mass-participation fun runs with over 30,000 runners each year.
In collaboration with The Herald Sun and Transurban, Run for the Kids raised over $1.4 million AUS last year, bringing the total amount for the Good Friday Appeal to $17 million AUD.
Axios Systems is involved with a number of charities across the globe and is proud to once again support the event through its Melbourne-based staff joining in.
Head of Sales in APAC at Axios Systems, Greg Morgan commented: “We are delighted to be supporting such an important event such as the Run for the Kids. The work that the Royal Children’s Hospital does day-in and day-out literally changes the lives of thousands of kids in Victoria and we are more than happy to do our bit to raise as much money as possible.”
The Run features two courses, both starting and finishing in the Docklands area of the city: the 5.2km Woodlea Course and the 12.8km Long Course are on offer, with Axios Systems entering staff for each course.
The Long Course run (entry fee $60) begins at 9am and the Short Course (entry fee $55) at 10:15am. You can register your entry for the event by visiting: www.runforthekids.com.au
About Run for Kids
The Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids is a community event, and its primary aim is to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. The Appeal was maintained, funded and nurtured by the Herald and Weekly Times, and since 1956, by television partner Channel Seven.
After a spectacular debut in 2006, the Herald Sun | CityLink Run for the Kids has grown to one of Victoria’s largest mass-participation fun runs with participants experiencing a tremendous thrill running over a great course for a great cause.
The event is proud of its position as the single biggest fundraising contributor for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. To date the event has raised over $17.1 million dollars for the Appeal.
The Royal Children’s Hospital improves the health and wellbeing of children and adolescents through leadership in healthcare, research and education. Nearly all families come into direct contact with the work of the hospital at some stage, either through the care of their own children or through friends or family. It is a great children’s hospital that leads the way, and we are thankful for the 30,000+ runners who hit the streets of Melbourne each year to support this important cause by running for the kids.
