Axios Launches Free Online ITIL V3 Assessment to Drive IT Best Practice

The questions, spanning the ITIL® Service Lifecycle; Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement, allow an organisation to establish a view of its current performance and proximity to the ITIL® framework.

The assessment provides an easy-to-read management report to highlight gaps in an organisations’ service provision. The analysis identifies key areas for improvement and provides recommendations to assist with tackling these areas. It also shows whether an organisation is ready to adopt a stronger, business aligned approach to service delivery in accordance with a V3 focussed approach. It is recommended that this assessment is taken by a number of employees within any one company to obtain a comprehensive and 360 degree view of the existing service provision. This report can then be taken to key decision-makers as the foundation for discussions to support and justify Service Improvement projects.

Tasos Symeonides, CEO at Axios Systems, comments: “The V3 online assessment gives clarity to users unsure of their current ITIL® alignment by providing them with a commitment-free analysis at no cost. It also acts as a benchmark for organisations to see how they are performing and identify where more attention may be needed. Most importantly, it provides IT practitioners with a justifiable and independent management report enabling them to make a strong business case for the further deployment of ITIL®.”

Axios Systems also offers a more detailed online assessment, which, ideally following completion of the higher level diagnostic report, goes in-depth into each process within the V3 Lifecycle. This assessment can be carried out for a particular process of concern or for multiple processes to gain a deeper understanding of the gaps within the chosen process area(s).

Symeonides continues: “As the first company to base its solutions from inception around the ITIL® Best Practice framework, these online assessments are evidence of the continued support that Axios shows for IT Best Practice. We are confident that tools like these, coupled with the rapidly growing interest in IT Service Management, will further bridge the gap between IT and the business.”
