Asset management tops ITSM spending plans
More than a quarter of 200 IT support professionals surveyed by Axios said they would be spending most this year on hardware asset management and controlling software licensing costs.
Some 18% said they would be giving top priority to developing Web functionality for their ITSM teams. Another 15% reported that implementing Best Practice headed their list and 13% said their biggest budget would be spent on integrating Help Desk and ITSM software with third party applications.
Notable interest was expressed in Web self-service tools, which respondents said was the complementary application they were most likely to purchase in the next 12 months. This was followed by asset discovery, single sign-on, password management and remote control applications.
