ITSM Consultant - North America

Location Herndon, VA

Job purpose

  • Lead or assist with the design of work packages within the design of a larger Axios solution
  • Deliver 'hands-on' implementation of the Axios solution as part of ITSM projects.
  • The Consultant will be accountable for customer satisfaction reflected through the quality of their work and their contribution to the project

Job responsibilities

  • Assist with identifying project scope and customer requirements
  • Contributing towards documentation
  • Hands-on delivery of product and appropriate ITSM/ITIL processes
  • Building the assyst system for organizations
  • Testing with clients during implementation phase

Skills

  • The ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and convert them into customer solutions
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A Customer oriented personality exhibiting professionalism and enthusiasm
  • An analytical, detail oriented, thought process with the ability to take a methodical approach to activities such as system analysis and data structuring
  • Good documentation skills

Experience

  • Experience being involved in different types of product implementations
  • Experience in taking part and contributing to design workshops
  • Good technical background with the ability to discuss architecture, hardware and software
  • Experience across different industry sectors
  • Some experience working in the ITSM or IT services/consulting industry
  • Experienced user of an ITSM product such as assyst
  • Practical experience with Microsoft tools such as MS Excel etc.
  • Good awareness of scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML or equivalent
  • Practical experience with relational databases: MSSQL, Oracle
  • Experience with software and hardware architecture

Essential Qualifications

ITIL V2 / V3 Foundations Certification at a minimum, Computing degree (BSc, MSc), or equivalent programming/system design experience
