DSC_0068One of the world’s leading providers of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions, Axios Systems, has announced Gordon Mackie as its new Head of Axios Global Services (AGS).

A Programme and Operational Director with over 18 years of experience, Gordon will develop, manage, implement and evaluate the professional services strategy of the Company as well as managing global consultancy.

A core part of Gordon’s role will also be attracting and retaining talent within the Axios global consultancy team, ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of services delivered to Axios customers in an environment of continuous improvement, as well as being accountable for operational costs within the business unit.

A driven and commercially aware professional, Gordon spent 12 months as Head of IT at Business Stream. Prior to this, Gordon served as a Director at IT Consultancy firm CGI for five years.

Speaking of his new appointment, Gordon Mackie said: “The leadership opportunity within Axios Global Services really excited me especially given the deep routed experience Axios Systems has in the ITSM marketplace. I am really looking forward to working with the Global team to drive the organisation forward and working directly with our customers ensuring we’re assisting them in delivering against their own business objectives”

Axios Chief Operating Officer, Steve Spratt, who previously held this role a number of years ago, is very pleased to have Gordon on board. “I’ve of course been in Gordon’s shoes, so I know the challenge he faces heading up our Global Services team, but I’m confident we’ve hired the right person to take on this challenge.”

“Gordon’s wealth of experience is already bearing fruit at Axios, and I’m looking forward to working together more and providing world-class consultancy services for our customers.”
