SCC to use Axios' assyst as front line Help Desk tool

SCC, the UK operating arm of Specialist Computer Holdings which is a market leader in providing managed IT lifecycle services to blue chip private and public sector organizations, will use Axios’ assyst product as its own front line IT Help Desk tool. It provides and runs Help Desks as part of its managed services.

Last year Axios Systems announced it was targeting outsourcers and Managed Service Providers following a decision to start selling its products through intermediaries.

Doug Reilly, Partner Manager of Axios which has its world headquarters in Edinburgh, said the agreement with SCC was an important step in the company’s Program.

“We had worked with SCC before so they knew assyst’s capabilities,” he commented. “They also had to implement a solution rapidly to meet a major client’s deadline. As an integrated ‘out-of-the-box’ solution, assyst can be up and running quickly so that was a further factor in its favor.”

Paul Everatt, Director of IT and e-commerce of Birmingham-based Specialist Computer Holdings plc, added: “We were encouraged by some customers’ use of assyst. With our expansion into the provision of first line Help Desk services we needed to implement assyst quickly and with no bespoke work. We were pleased with how quickly we were able to go live.”

Axios’ relationships with partners includes providing them with tools which they can use to win more business and deploy rapidly for their own customers.
