Global IT Leader Axios Systems Signs Up a New Partner As Part Of Acceleration In Activity In South Africa
Axios Systems, one of the world's leading providers of IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, has today announced a partnership agreement with one of South Africa's leading business transformation and software consultancies, Johannesburg-based Ovations Group.
Under the agreement, Axios will train the Ovations team on how to implement and get the most out of Axios' core IT Service Management solution, assyst. Axios will also work closely with Ovations on joint marketing initiatives. The joint offering to the market brings together the strength of one of the world's leading ITSM software solutions with the local knowledge and consulting expertise of the Ovations Group, which has consulted to, and implemented solutions at, many of South Africa's major companies over the past decade.
The move comes as Axios seeks to extend and deepen its presence and commitment to the region. The provider announced late last year that it is striving to help Kenyan companies become more efficient through the implementation of ITIL®-based best practice ITSM technology and practices.
On April 15th 2009, Gartner released a report entitled "Market Trends: Enterprise Software, EMEA, 2008-2013", which states that "the Middle East and Africa, while not immune from the downturn, is weathering the crisis somewhat better". More importantly, Gartner expects the Middle East and Africa (MEA) to be the third fastest growth region in terms of software spending, behind Asia Pacific and Latin America, with expected growth of more than 8% between 2008 and 2013. The report states that "the [IT Operations Management] market will grow to nearly €5.3 billion by 2013". The report goes on to state that "the [IT Service Desk] market is expected to grow 8% during the next five years".
