LeCoS GmbH, originally the company's internal IT Department, became a company in its own right I July 2002. It now provides information and communication technology services to more than 5000 customers in the public and private sector. 

 

These services range from the development of strategies for information and communication technology, procurement of hardware and software and the implementation of new solutions and processes. 

 

"Support was discontinued for our previous tool, Tivoli Service Desk and it was immediately evident that we needed a new tool. The time pressure was considerable, we needed a tool that could be implemented quickly", explained Service Manager, Dr. George Kostersitz. 

 

The new software had to meet the criteria set by LeCoS. An important factor in the decision was the conformity of the software with the Best Practice guidelines of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®). 

 

After undertaking market research, LeCoS selected asssyt by Axios Systems. One of assyst's main benefits is that it was designed from inception around the ITIL® guidelines. It also contains a transparent data model which enables the user to transfer existing databases very quickly.
