Axios Systems opens new Dubai office
Axios Systems, the leading international IT Service Management (ITSM) software company, today announced the opening of a new Dubai office, which will support customers and partners in the region. The move demonstrates Axios Systems’s commitment to meet the Middle East’s growing demands for ITIL® and Best Practice standards such as ISO/IEC 20000.
Axios has seen the level of interest in ITIL® and Best Practice dramatically increase in the Middle East over the last 18 months. Changing attitudes amongst end-users combined with increased IT investments in the region has led organizations to turn to ITIL® based ITSM to help align IT with business objectives.
The opening of the office follows Axios’s recent key consultancy contract with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the largest oil and gas exploration and production company in the Sultanate. Axios is actively recruiting more staff for the Dubai office as well as seeking to expand its partner network.
Axios’s core solution, assyst, will offer Middle Eastern customers ITIL® processes in an out-of-the-box ITSM application. The product has recently been upgraded and assyst 7.5 includes state-of-the-art conflict detection and resolution functionality, which makes IT organizations aware of where they have conflicting changes in their infrastructure and enables them to resolve them to minimize business impact.
Markos Symeonides, VP Business Development, said: “We have built a very strong partner operation in the Middle East and recently won business in Oman, Jordan and Egypt, Qatar. We wanted to open an office to support this program and cater for the growing demand for ITIL® and Best Practice. The success we have seen in the Middle East, as well as in our other international markets is a clear result of Axios being a best of breed ITSM vendor, rather than generalist like many of our competitors.”
