Evaluation of 21 Leading SaaS IT Service Management Vendors

The Forrester report assesses 21 IT Service Management vendors and segments them by target market as well as level of customer success. Furthermore, the report divides ITSM vendor solutions into three market types: Enterprise (with average number of subscribers greater than 100), Upper Midmarket (having an average number of subscribers between 25 and 99 seats), and Lower Midmarket (having an average subscriber size less than 25). In segmenting the market, Forrester Research placed Axios Systems’ assyst in the Enterprise category.

 

Forrester lists certain key benefits that SaaS IT Service Management solutions provide: initial lower total cost of ownership, simple implementation, reduced support needs, greater opportunity of use, and higher user satisfaction. To ensure these benefits can be experienced, Forrester suggests that companies focus evaluations in three core areas: support for the most commonly adopted ITSM capabilities, a CMDB, and self-service with or without a service catalog.
