Pindar Set is now in the process of upgrading its IT Service Management (ITSM) with Axios Systems' (www.axiossystems.com) ITSM solution, assyst. 

 

"We have been successfully pursuing an aggressive Service Improvement Program (SIP) based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) and wanted a solution to support this," commented Phil Yeadon, IT Services Manager. After a rigorous assessment of potential suppliers Pindar Set opted for assyst by Axios Systems, which has been designed from inception around the ITIL® framework – providing a consolidated, out-of-the-box solution with a single underlying Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

It was clear that assyst would support us with our SIP and ensure optimum availability of the specialized tools we use. He also added that he had a high regard for Axios as the first organization in the world to achieve certification in BS 15000. Axios recently announced its support of the launch of ISO/IEC 20000, the International standard for IT Service Management (ITSM), which is largely based on the BS 15000, the British standard. 

 

"I was excited by the notion of taking an integrated solution which had been directed over the years by Axios and a wide range of its customers," Yeadon said. "Another reason for choosing assyst was that it was a true out-of-the-box solution. We didn't want to waste time and money customizing a solution. The total Return on Investment with assyst was also better than the other solutions we considered".
