An independent report on UK Help Desk Software Vendors is now available. The report, based on a survey carried out in August/September 1999, questioned 400 IT Helpdesk and Support Managers about their helpdesk software vendor. The findings provide a snapshot of the level of service provided by major international helpdesk software vendors. 

 

The results focus on the performance of eight major software vendors which are scored against each other on every aspect of software selection, giving an indication of the customers’ experience. 

 

The survey findings have shown some surprising results and are an invaluable tool for those organizations in the process of evaluating their existing software or choosing new helpdesk software. The report aims to provide help in this area by measuring the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of helpdesks with vendor performance, before, during and after the purchase of new helpdesk software. 

 

As well as practical information on the standards of service during all stages of software selection and installation, the report also includes articles and draft documents, providing an overall guide to choosing helpdesk software.
