assyst wins at the double in Benelux

assyst wins at the double in Benelux

TNT's head office in Brussels is implementing assyst for internal systems as well as in its Customer Interface Technology (CIT) department which is responsible for TNT systems installed at more than 600 customer sites throughout Belgium and Luxembourg. Its internal systems comprise some 500 PCs, 30 NT servers, 8 Unix machines and 90 Unix terminals.

"assyst was the best of the software packages we looked at, with the most functionality," said Dirk Bressinck, CIT Manager. "It will also give us valuable statistics and management reports."

At the local authority in Utrecht, assyst will be used on the internal Help Desk which consists of two groups - a 'phone team and the so-called 'Nike' team which walks around offices resolving problems on the spot.

"We examined 10 different systems before concluding that assyst met our needs best," Systems Developer Milly Plaate commented.

"We liked its expandability because we want to implement change and problem management modules later. Our management also insists on ITIL® standards and assyst was the best method of achieving this."

assyst is used globally by both private and public sector organizations. It adheres to the ITIL® framework and the BSI Code of Practice for Effective IT Service Management.

Axios, based in Edinburgh, also has offices in Utrecht and Munich and plans to open more offices in Europe and the USA.
