Asset management tops ITSM spending plans

Asset management tops ITSM spending plans
10/01/2005

More than a quarter of 200 IT support professionals surveyed by Axios said they would be spending most this year on hardware asset management and controlling software licensing costs.

Some 18% said they would be giving top priority to developing Web functionality for their ITSM teams. Another 15% reported that implementing Best Practice headed their list and 13% said their biggest budget would be spent on integrating Help Desk and ITSM software with third party applications.

Notable interest was expressed in Web self-service tools, which respondents said was the complementary application they were most likely to purchase in the next 12 months. This was followed by asset discovery, single sign-on, password management and remote control applications.

"These survey results confirm that Axios Systems understands and delivers solutions to meet the evolving needs of the IT Service Management market," said Linda Murray, Product Marketing Manager at Axios Systems.
