Arabic service launched as Axios expands in Middle East
The user interface and documentation for assyst are already available in English, French, German and Dutch. Axios, which has several hundred blue chip private and public sector customers around the world, is also working on setting up Spanish, Portuguese and Italian equivalents. Other languages are supported using interface customization capabilities.
The introduction of an Arabic version will support the company’s expansion into the Middle East where it recently secured its first business and is working with a number of partners.
“An integrated, Arabic language ITSM solution is unique in the market,” said Linda King, Product Marketing Manager for Axios Systems. “The Middle East is one of many regions in the world where we are achieving success and we are confident that availability in Arabic will further enhance assyst’s appeal.”
Axios’ software is Unicode-compliant, so the underlying database supports any language.
The assyst solution has been built from inception around the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), internationally accepted guidelines for Best Practice in IT Service Management, which Mrs King said was winning increasing acceptance by organizations in the Middle East. This was another factor in Axios’ favor in gaining more business in the region, she added.
Overseas revenues at Axios Systems, which has been voted best vendor three times in succession by the Help Desk Institute, are now outpacing income from its UK home base.
The company has 11 offices in nine countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Australia.
