Job Description

Axios is seeking a strong system administrator/developer with relevant skills and experience, to help implement the assyst product suite. 
The assyst Technical Consultant is a key member of the implementation team, primarily focused on the technical aspects of the implementation. The assyst Technical Consultant works with the engagement team, including assyst consultants and customers, to support them in the technical aspects of an assyst implementation. The assyst Technical Consultant will have options to evolve to a more product/process focused Implementation Consultancy role or remain as a technical consultant. 
While some travel is expected this is primarily a home office based position. Most of the work will involve remote connectivity to customer systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Installation and setup of the core assyst product suite
  • Working with Axios pre-sales and customer resources to understand their network and security architectures needed to implement the assyst product suite installation.
  • Working with the implementation team to configure the technical components of the assyst system including gateways and integrations
  • Working with the implementation team to configure innovative technical solutions that augment standard product functionality providing customer specific functionality
  • Supporting clients in testing of the system and adjusting the system based on the test results.
  • Training customer technical resources on the setup and configuration of the assyst product suite
  • Playing a lead role on the overall Axios consultancy team in terms of customer specific integration activities
  • Coordinating between customers and Axios support for technical issues as needed
  • Support the implementation team to build the assyst system. This can include assistance with data gathering/loading and knowledge transfer and ongoing best practice guidance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Practical development or scripting experience using VBScript, JavaScript and/or equivalents
  • Strong experience with Java based applications and JBOSS
  • Proven experience leading, facilitating and documenting technical workshops
  • Strong data manipulation and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. While full DBA skills are not needed the candidate must be fluent with SQL queries, database backups and restores.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet tight timescales
  • Strong technical background with the ability to discuss architecture, hardware and software
  • Practical experience with integrations (i.e Active Directory, Mail, Alert and Systems Management)
  • Experienced user of Report Writing products such as Crystal Reports
  • Experience with HTML development
  • Ability to take a methodical approach to activities such as system analysis and data structuring.

Industry Qualifications

  • Computing degree (BSc, MSc), or equivalent programming/system design experience
  • 5+ years working in the IT services/consulting industry with Enterprise level applications
  • Good understanding of coding standards and software version control

Desirable Skills

  • Experienced user of a Service Management/Service Desk product such as assyst, BMC Remedy, HP Service Manager, Infra, Frontrange ITSM, Cherwell, EasyVista and Service-Now.
  • Current ITIL® certifications
  • DOJO experience
