Job Description

Identify and pursue potential sales opportunities within the North American marketplace as part of general prospecting & targeted sales campaigns. Work with Territory Managers, Solutions Consultants and other members of the Sales Team supporting the full sales lifecycle. Gain an understanding of the target market and any relevant trends within said market, in relation to Axios Systems’ offerings -mainly through outbound calls, but also other means relevant e.g. internet searches, hoovers, sector-specific publications. Manage targeted sales campaigns, design schedules and cascade information to relevant teams involved. Work alongside the Sales Teams for specific campaigns in order to provide the most relevant, up-to-date information possible. Use information collected to contact specific prospects in conjunction with the Sales Team territories. Liaise with the Marketing department & all other members of the Sales Team as necessary, under the guidance of the department team leader. Act in a professional and responsible manner at all times.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing comprehensive target lists of organizations within a specific target market through research of CRM Database, online research, telephone calls and other means necessary
  • Responsible for ensuring data held is clean, up-to-date and of the highest quality
  • Making initial calls to all organizations on target list to verify information held and gain any extra information needed for each campaign
  • Ensure that your role within each overall campaign plan is successfully completed within set timescales
  • Attend prospect meetings as required
  • Work with members of the Sales Teams to assist with any further project related activity under the guidance of department team leader
  • Retain involvement with prospects throughout the sales cycle as required
  • Undertake any further day-to-day duties as required
  • Responsible for all records within CRM database for which you are the owner, responsible for making regular contact with these organizations to identify opportunities as they arise and to ensure that data held is accurate
  • Attend industry specific events/conferences as required
  • Present on Inside Sales performance when required in meetings
  • Report progress and activity to department team leader on a weekly or daily basis as needed

Required Skills

  • Previous experience of operating in a telephone based sales/marketing role
  • Excellent telephone skills combined with a proven track record of building customer relationships over the phone by using a professional, friendly and tenacious approach
  • Willingness to continually learn and develop skills in ITIL®, ITSM & assyst
  • Strong levels of PC literacy
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to present findings in a clear & concise manner
  • Solid experience in use and management of CRM/sales/lead generation databases
  • Proven capability to work with high volumes of data within tight timescales whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Outlook (or equivalent) for general company communication
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Excel (or other spreadsheet package) with a good grasp of basic functions
  • Solid experience in Internet searching to gather relevant data and verify information
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
  • Ability to work without constant supervision

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of ITSM market and needs of customers
  • Experience of running queries and running reports from databases (preferably, using Crystal Reports).
  • An awareness and understanding of Data Protection issues
  • Genuine interest in the sales process
  • Previous experience of working in a sales role with an overall understanding of the sales cycle
  • Previous experience of working within a software company
  • Experience of specific vertical markets & their IT issues
  • Experience of desk-based research, drawing up conclusions and presenting actions
