Axios Systems is headquartered in the UK with offices across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. The Integrations Section is part of Axios Service Centre and enables our customers to integrate assyst to a large number of third party applications. This is achieved using existing assyst applications as well as customisation and development of bespoke solutions built on our own integration framework.


Job Purpose

Department remit

  • To provide world-class software development solutions for the assyst product suite
  • Develop software concepts to support multiple access channels with associated user interfaces satisfying the needs of a diverse set of users
  • Provide technical support and consultancy for assyst
  • To support the Sales and Professional Services teams


Job responsibilities

  • Liaise with Professional Services, Sales and Marketing stakeholders to understand business drivers and identify system requirements

  • Identify real business needs from suggestions and requests

  • Collaborate closely throughout the iterative development process with colleagues within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure all have a common understanding of the requirements and acceptance criteria

  •  Agree on the most appropriate solution while taking into account both product evolution and customer needs

  • Capture clear and concise acceptance criteria for product enhancements

  •  Recommend enhancement priorities and negotiate phased increments

  • Develop and maintain expert-level product knowledge and share with colleagues and customers as required

  • Collaborate closely with analysis colleagues to continually improve practices


Skills and experience


  • A minimum of five years systems analysis experience of gathering and capturing the functional requirements for a large and complex system
  • Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle
  • Systems analysis experience of Web Based Products
  • Managing backlogs using User Stories and capturing agreed system behaviour as structured acceptance criteria
  • You must also have excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently at a detailed level with limited supervision as well as working effectively as part of a team
  • You must communicate confidently at all levels, be enthusiastic, flexible, career driven & responsible



  • Experience of capturing non-functional requirements, for example, relating to scalability and resilience
  • Experience of using agile methodologies, such as Scrum, OpenUP or FDD (Feature Driven Development), and standard methodologies, such as RUP (Rational Unified Process) to manage complex projects
  • Domain knowledge of IT Service Management or ITIL
  • Experience of using an agile planning tool
  • Knowledge of interface design for usability and user experience
  • Awareness of UML, specifically Use Case Modelling and Analysis Modelling
