Service Catalog Software - Implementation Approach
Axios offers a number of different approaches when implementing assyst for service catalog:
These following options are available:
- An out-of-the-box service catalog approach. This utilizes Axios' considerable ITSM experience and service catalog templates to implement a best practice-based solution quickly and with minimum input and effort from the customer
- A tailored approach using our templates as the base, which we then quickly alter to meet your organization’s requirements
- A completely bespoke service catalog implementation based on your specific customer requirements.
All of these approaches are simple and easy to build, using Axios' pre-defined service catalog templates which do not require programming or technical expertise.
Next: Out-of-the-Box Service Catalog
Out-of-the-Box Approach
Axios' out-of-the-box approach provides a comprehensive set of service catalog templates that provide best practice data for the service catalog.
The engagement includes an initiation exercise to agree requirements and deliverables – also to review any of your existing data. We then build the database using our templates and adding any of your organizational data as required. Finally, we provide documentation and training to ensure that you can take ownership of the system.
Tailored Approach
Similar to the out-of-the-box approach, the tailored offering involves us spending more time working with you to develop and amend the templates to fit your needs.
Bespoke Approach
If you have already defined a full set of services specific to your organization, then we can work with you on a bespoke basis to translate and implement these within assyst. This is a set of flexible activities that are aimed at ensuring the implemented solution is exactly tailored to the organization’s specific requirements.
The Axios Implementation Methodology is detailed in the diagram below.
The actual stages and activities performed will be established during the initial Project Initiation stage of the engagement.
Next: General Approach
General Approach
Service catalog is a new concept for many organizations and Axios has developed an implementation approach which starts with education around the main concepts of service level management and service catalog. This then progresses all the way through to the practical building of the service catalog within assyst. This can be included in all of our approaches to increase the organization’s understanding of service catalog and how it can benefit the business.

Using the assyst Service Catalog with 3rd Party Products
The flexibility offered by the assyst service catalog functionality can also be utilized stand-alone if required. In this scenario, assyst would be seamlessly integrated to other 3rd party tools that may already provide service management functionality, e.g. incident, change or configuration management, to the organization.
assyst's comprehensive set of off-the-shelf connectors and gateways allows assyst to share data and communicate bi-directionally with all of the major service management products available in the market.
