New Appointment Continues Momentum for Axios

Axios Systems Managing Director Tasos Symeonides today announced the appointment of Mr. Jim Mooney as UK Sales Manager.

“I am delighted that we shall be able to benefit from Mr. Mooney’s considerable experience and insights”, said Mr. Symeonides. “Jim will bring to Axios an extensive background in sales from the IT sector. He is well known and highly respected in the UK IT industry due to his continued success, knowledge and experience.”

Mooney, 40, has over 16 years experience in the IT industry, much of it with Fujitsu subsidiary Technology plc. His functions will include the ongoing development of the Axios sales and channels strategy resulting in continued growth of the already extensive Axios client base. His appointment is part of a wider strategy to aid the rapid growth of the organization in the UK and overseas markets.

Renowned for his business development skills, Mooney has a varied and extensive background in the IT industry. Latterly Sales Director of NetIntelligence, the iomart group’s security software division. His other roles have included General Sales Manager for Scotland and North England of GE Capital IT Solutions and Sales and Marketing Director for the Contact Centre software company Sonaq Ltd.

“Axios attracted me because it is one of Scotland’s great IT success stories, expanding in the UK and throughout the world”, said Mooney “I’m looking forward to developing and enhancing its market leadership by winning and managing more major customers.”

“I’ve inherited a great team. Apart from selling through our own sales force we’ll be placing increasing emphasis on winning business through partners and other third parties which provide additional opportunities,”

Edinburgh-based Axios Systems was recently voted the best Help Desk vendor by the Help Desk Institute for the third year in succession.
